28th Feb saw the team partake in the P&K Indoor League finals week for the first time. Usually finishing in the bottom half of the league the players had a stella run mid way through the winter which was ultimately enough to qualify for the finals.
Facing off in the semi-finals against the league favourites in Breadalbane we got off to a nervy and stuttery start but despite a valiant effort in fighting back with the back a sub 80 run score was always going to to tough to defend. The bowlers stuck at it and caused a few nervy moments for the boys from Aberfeldy but in the end it was a comfortable win for the eventual 2023 league winners
in our 3rd/4th playoff against the wildcards we played with the same gusto and humour we had all winter, restricting the opposition to a low(ish) score. We just couldnt get going with the bat though and needing 30 off our last 6 balls just too much in the end!!
A 4th place finish though our highest ever finish and something the whole team can be extremely proud of!
Attentions now turn to the outdoor season.
